Ish-ambasadori Vasko Naumovski thotë se bashkëpunimi i afërt me Hungarinë dhe Serbinë nuk nënkupton zgjerim të bllokut euroskeptik në rajon, pasi që sipas tij, për euroskepticizmin fajtore është vetë Bashkimi Evropian.
Naumovski për “Alsat” tha se përqindja e qytetarëve që mbështesin anëtarësimin e vendit në BE është ende e lartë, megjithatë ka një trend rritës qytetarëve skeptik, që vlerësojnë se Maqedonia nuk është e gatshme që të bëjë kompromise pasi që deri më tani, nuk kanë sjellë avancim në procesin euorintegrues.
“Vlerësoj se më meritor për zgjerimin e euroskepticizmit në Ballkan janë vetë anëtaret e Bashkimit Evropian dhe institucionet e Bashkimit Evropian. Pasi që ne, në 20 vitet e kaluara edhe Maqedonia edhe shtetet tjera të rajonit kemi bërë mjaft kompromise të cilat kanë pasur për qëllim që të arrijmë përparim në rrugën tonë drejtë anëtarësimit të plotë.
Ne kemi hyrë thellë në vitin 2025, ndërkaq që në vitin 2003 kemi pasur një të ashtuquajtur Samiti i Selanikut, në të cilën ishte konfirmuar i ashtuquajturi vokacioni evropian dhe perspektiva për anëtarësim e shteteve të Ballkanit në Bashkimin Evropian.
