Scandals continue every day in Albania, just as the "sleep" of the institutions that should investigate, especially SPAK and its "head", Arben Kraja, continues every day. The strange "love" of Jorgo Goro and the mother of his former lawyer Elton Rondo has been mentioned several times in the media in connection with the tenders of the Himara Municipality.
It is about Fotina Rondo, who through her company "COGREN" has won dozens of tenders from the Himarë Municipality directed by Jorgo, while her son was working in that same municipality. These tenders are estimated to be worth about 3 billion old ALL, which were incredibly won by the firm owned by the mother of the municipal lawyer.
Not only did Fotina and Jorgo not get a thorn in their side, but on the contrary, even today, her company continues to be declared as the winner. Suffice it to mention that only a few days ago, Fotina received from Jorgo a full 408 million old ALL with VAT for the construction of a sports complex.
More specifically, it is about the tender with reference number REF-35243-07-04-2022 and with the object "Construction of the Borsh regional sports complex". Its fund limit is 40,000,000 new ALL without VAT or about 480 million old ALL including VAT. It can be seen that 5 contestants participated in the tender, of which one of them offered zero value, increasing the suspicion that we are dealing with a predetermined winner.
Also, the figures provided by other firms are very close to the winning value, further increasing the suspicions of irregularities in the tender. In conclusion, the years pass, Fotina's firm continues to receive tenders from Jorgo i Himara and the responsible institutions do not even deign to investigate.
